OMNIUM GATHERUM Begins Work On New Material
October 17, 2007Finnish death metallers OMNIUM GATHERUM have issued the following update:
"We have started to breed new OMNIUM GATHERUM material in the home studios and in the new rehearsal place and so far there's about 5+ song skeletons ready and willing! ...And yeah, of course it's the best material we've ever... blaah blaah...That's for sure! The fourth album is being planned for recording in late spring '08 or somewhere near there and it'll be released via Candlelight Records."
OMNIUM GATHERUM recently parted ways with bassist Janne Markkanen and replaced him with Eerik Purdon (CRYSTAL BLAZE, AMORAL).
The band's latest album, "Stuck Here on Snakes Way", entered the Finnish chart at position No. 31. The CD, which was released on April 2 via Candlelight Records (one day later in North America),was recorded during November-December 2006 at Southeast Studios in Karhula, Finland with producer Teemu Aalto. An eight-minute video clip documenting the recording sessions for the album has been posted online at this location. Check out audio samples on the band's MySpace page.
"Stuck Here on Snakes Way" marks the band's first release with brand new vocalist Jukka Pelkonen, who joined the group in May 2006.
